HOW YOU CAN HELP

WE HAVE FOUR HELP CATEGORIES

PRAYER

We strongly believe in the need to smother our operations and projects in prayer. Generally speaking, we are always in need of people to constantly pray for our projects at each stage of their progression: for projects commencing (that we are aligned to God’s plan), projects continuing & being shipped (for protection and smooth progression), and projects completed (that the kindnesses will continue). Please also pray for our work site (that it will remain a safe and fun workplace) and our volunteers (for their health and continuing tenacity, enthusiasm and passion). Please sign up to our mailing list to receive our current, more specific prayer requests.

Prayer underpins the whole operation.

MONEY

All monetary donations given to Container Of Hope go toward container projects, checking of donations, and maintenance of equipment used in container loading.

Within this, Container Of Hope makes available grants to financially assist with project costs, upon application. This is the primary use of donations.

If you would like to donate money to Container Of Hope, please email admin@containerofhope.com.au with the subject line “Money Donation” and we will reply with instructions on how you can make your deposit.

TIME

Working at COH is very time-intensive and we appreciate any help we can get. Whether it be helping us collect, sort, and store items ready for future containers, helping someone else pack their container, or helping us to recycle any of the items we are unable to use, there is always work to be done!

We hold Working Bees on every third Saturday of every month. Let us know if you’d like to come along! We provide lunch to all volunteers.

GOODS

We try to work to a wish list as much as possible when it comes to our projects, so we will upload a list of items we are trying to source for specific container projects when confirmed wish lists become available.

Examples of items we can accept all the time: clothes, shoes, household items, toys, linen, uniforms, stationary, books, tools, bicycles, computers, art & craft items, medical consumables.

Other items that we can receive if we have the space: furniture, vehicles, school desks & chairs, medical equipment, and building materials.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to space restrictions, we are sometimes unable to accept certain donations. If you have something you wish to donate, please contact us about our current container space availability!
